We develop infrastructure for hyperscalers, frontier AI companies, neoclouds, and data center operators with requirements measured in multi-gigawatts. Rather than operating as simply a land developer, power producer, or data-center developer, Tobosa is the platform at the center of all three — assembling and de-risking the underlying infrastructure that makes large-scale development possible, and getting projects to market easier and faster.
Our direction
Focused on the Permian Basin.
Tobosa is primarily focused on the Permian Basin in West Texas — a region with abundant natural gas, available land, and a century of energy infrastructure and expertise. Here, access to land, power, and gas creates a durable advantage for large-scale development. As the platform grows, we will expand selectively wherever the same advantages can be replicated.
The name
A name written into the land itself.
Tobosa is embedded in the Permian Basin on three levels. Beneath the land, the ancient Tobosa Basin was the geological foundation from which today's Delaware and Midland Basins — the modern Permian Basin — ultimately emerged. Across the land, native tobosa grass (Pleuraphis mutica) has endured for centuries in the demanding Trans-Pecos landscape. And from the land comes the opportunity Tobosa pursues today: developing the power and infrastructure that will define the Permian's next chapter. The name reflects the character of the region — resilience, resourcefulness, land, and energy.
